3 Simple Marketing Techniques That Will Help Expand Your Business

Date:

When it comes to growing your business, good marketing techniques are the key to success. Marketing is defined as the process of a business promoting and selling products to customers or services to clients. Successful marketing requires research to conclude who your target audience is and research on this market to determine their needs. Market research is an ongoing process, but once you’ve got an idea of who your target market is, then you can start engaging in some simple marketing techniques to promote your business.

#1: Establish a Solid Online Presence for Your Business

The internet has become a key tool in marketing just in the last decade. Because of this, it’s crucial that you have an online presence for your business. The first step to creating a solid online presence is to have a professional business website, even if you don’t sell products online. Your website is for informational purposes, letting your current and prospective customers know what your company is all about, what it stands for, and what it sells. If you have a physical location, your address should be posted somewhere on your website and so should a contact phone number and email address.

The next step in establishing your online presence is to create business pages on different social media platforms. All of the top social media platforms— Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and even TikTok— offer special tools and advice for business pages. Your business page should be separate from your personal page, even if your business is you (i.e., you’re an influencer). Also, remember to link your website to all of your social media pages, so your potential customers/clients can learn more about your company and what you’re selling, and so that they’ll be taken directly to a place where they can make a purchase.

#2: Clearly Identify Your Company’s Brand

A quality brand is your company’s identity— the way it is perceived through the eyes of your current customers/clients and those who haven’t yet purchased from you. Several visual cues make up your brands, such as the name of your company, the logo, and your slogan (if you have one), but the unseen aspects of your brand identity are just as important.

Create a list of descriptive words that represent your company, and soon you’ll clearly define the personality of your company. Also identify what your core values are, your mission statement, and why you want to make a positive impact in the lives of your customers.

#3: Put Your Company Logo on Everything

Once you’ve created your brand identity, it should be consistent across all platforms— social media, your website, and even your products/services. Another thing that should be displayed on as many platforms and items as possible is your company logo. This is a major identifying factor when it comes to making your company more recognizable to potential customers/clients, and for making your company stand out from the competition.

Your logo should be clearly displayed on your company website, social media profiles, your storefront (if applicable), and things that you give your customers/clients, such as shopping bags and other packaging, pens/pencils, etc.

You can also put your logo on special items that make sense to your company. For example, a construction company may place their logo on a pickup truck rental, and a catering company would benefit from having their logo printed on their aprons. You can also choose to sell/give away promotional items with your logo, such as t-shirts, hats, tote bags, etc. Having your logo in multiple places is a good marketing strategy that increases brand awareness.

In addition to these three techniques, it’s also beneficial to understand the basic principles of digital marketing and the various types of digital marketing. These three techniques along with digital marketing strategies will help you to grow your business in no time.
