After the massive hit and collection in the box office the director, writer and producer of Aladdin are planning to release its sequel or second instalment in 2020. With new plots and horizons to pursue the movie will be getting its second instalment soon. The last reboot released in summer received a huge appreciation and hence Disney is now looking forward to create the follow-up of the movie with writers Andrea Berloff and John Gatins. As per sources online, the movie is in its early development stage.
After experiments for about 6 months to find out what direction to take in the next film, the producer has finally found the right path to film the sequel. The original producers of the movie, Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin are back to produce the sequel under the Rideback Banner with executive producer Ryan Halprin. But it is not clear in the press release whether director Guy Ritchie will be back as the director of the sequel or not.

Producers of the movie are focused on starring Mena Massoud, Will Smith , Naomi Scoot and more in the sequel. But the offers are not likely to be extended to the casting of the movie until the script is ready.
Unlike the original series of Aladdin, the second instalment will not be a Disney+ title; instead it will be the theatrical release. Its original animated series has two straight to video sequels. But as per the rumours the new take will be completely original and not filmed according to previous ideas.
The original Aladdin movie in 2019 was inspired by the original 1992 animated classic and it was proved to a massive blockbuster movie, thereby becoming the only 4th live-action adaptation that has surpassed the billion global dollar milestone successfully, following the Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Slice in Wonderland. Berloff’s credit include The Kitchen and she is also popularly known for directing some of the drama movies like Sleepless and the Straight Outta Compton and this movie helped her to earn Oscar nomination for the original screenplay.
