Maxine Klibingaitis, a well-known Australian actress famous for her roles in TV shows such as Prisoner and Neighbours, passed away at the age of 58.
The news of her death was shared on Tuesday on Facebook. The statement posted on the Prisoner Facebook fan club, Partners in Crime, stated that Maxine played the character of Bobbie Mitchell in Prisoner, Terri Inglis in Neighbours, and many other roles in Australian TV.
The post added that Maxine’s death was sudden and unexpected. The actress was last seen publicly at a Prisoner reunion in Melbourne in 2019. She was married to TV director Andrew Friedman and shared one son, Zane, with him.
Maxine’s family has not yet commented on her death. She had appeared in several TV shows such as The Flying Doctors, Home And Away, Family and Friends, and Blue Heelers, among others.
Her last credited role was in a project called The House Cleaner in 2013.
