COVID-19: Schools in Delhi to Remain Closed till October 31


All schools in the public capital will stay shut till October 31 considering the COVID-19 pandemic, Delhi government authorities said on Sunday.

The Delhi government had before expanded the school conclusion till October 5, however the Center had allowed calling understudies of classes 9 to 12 to schools on willful premise from September 21.

“The Directorate of Education (DoE) has been directed to extend the ongoing closure of schools till Oct 31. Formal orders to this effect will be issued by DoE tomorrow,” an authority at the Deputy Chief Minister’s office said.

Colleges and schools the nation over have been shut since March 16 when the Center declared a countrywide study hall closure as a component of measures to contain the spread of the novel Covid.

According to the most recent open rules, schools, universities and other instructive establishments can resume outside regulation zones after October 15. In any case, the choice on whether to return instructive establishments has been left with states and association regions.
