Eric Schneiderman Will Not face Abuse Charges

Eric Schneiderman is a former Attorney General was accused of physically abusing women. A special prosecutor was appointed to investigate and look into the allegations made. On Thursday she has closed the case without bringing criminal charges. She also said that the investigators have reviewed the matter exhaustively and she personally interviewed each and every claimant who has accused Eric Schneiderman of sexual assault. I this entire investigation that took place the security staff of Eric Schneiderman was also investigated thoroughly.

She finally concludes that “legal impediments” have made it impossible to charge Eric Schneiderman. The investigation team could not find any account of sexual misconduct in this case. Eric Schneiderman said that he did not consider the decision exoneration.

Eric Schneiderman has gone on record saying “I recognize that District Attorney Singas’ decision not to prosecute does not mean I have done nothing wrong”. He also said “I accept full responsibility for my conduct in my relationships with my accusers and for the impact it had on them”.

He openly apologized for his behaviour with women and also State of New York for disappointing them after they put their trust in him.

He resigned in May after The New Yorker published an article that four women have accused him of sexual misconduct. Some of the women have said that Eric Schneiderman was an alcoholic.

The accusers of Eric Schneiderman included Manning Barish who is a Democratic activist and writer, and was romantically involved in a relationship with Eric Schneiderman from mid 2013 till the end of 2014.

Singas was appointed as a special prosecutor by the Gov. Andrew Cuomo, bypassing Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. because of conflict of interest. Read More News at Storify News.
