In an interview, Eric Trump said that a restaurant employee in Chicago spat on him on Tuesday. He tagged the act as disgusting. He further said that this is clearly a disgusting act from someone who has emotional problems.
Breitbart took Trump’s stance on the incident and said that, For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.
The reports of this incident first surfaced on the media when a reporter, Mary Ann Ahern, of NBC 5 Chicago posted rumors on her Twitter handle. The reporter mentioned the event to have taken place at the Aviary Cocktail Bar in the city. The offender was kept in the custody of Secret Service, she said.
The Chicago Police Department confirmed that they were on the scene providing assistance to the US Secret Service. No one confirmed that Trump was the actual target. Official representatives for Trump did not respond to the situation immediately with the Secret Service declining to even comment on the incident.
In statement from the group that owns The Aviary, The Alinea Group, they called the incident between their employee and Trump to be unfortunate. The Group said that no customer should ever be spit upon. They also cleared the air by saying that they haven’t spoken with the employee yet, but the HR has placed her on leave and soon an immediate action will be taken against the employee.
Last year, during the Brett Kevanaugh hearing, R-Texas and his wife, and Sen. Ted Cruz were forced to make an exit from a restaurant. Kirstjen Nielsen, who is the former Homeland Security Secretary, was also publicly harassed at a restaurant around that time only.
