Monday was the hunting game for Georgia cops as they were after the armed and dangerous accomplices who were involved in the death of sheriff’s deputy on Sunday night. The deputy was shot dead by few people on Sunday night.
The incident happened in response to the one that took place on Sunday night at around 11 PM. The unidentified Hall County Deputy was trying stop a stolen vehicle by chasing it when he was fatally shot by the convict. The gunman was also injured in the cross fire as reported by WSB-TV. The alleged gunman was taken to the nearby hospital with injuries that were undisclosed till the time this article was written.
However, the police department did catch an alleged person who was suspected to be involved in the shooting incident at around 7 AM on Monday. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the person of interest was taken into custody and the investigation is still on. Police is still looking for unknown numbers of people who might be involved in the incident. It is suspected by the police department of Georgia that the people involved in this act might be the same people responsible for the theft of several guns during the weekend itself.
To make the search of the suspects faster, authorities from several agencies, including Georgia State Petrol and the other local police departments, were assisting to speed up the search. Georgia Bureau of Investigating tweeted that it was working to collect details on the officer-shooting incident.
Derrick Booth, a public information officer of the sheriff office said that, “The agency as a whole is taking it hard, as any law enforcement agency does when it loses an officer or deputy”. He further added that “but no closure now with suspects still on the loose”.
With only one gunman arrested and rest still on the loose, Georgia police department should buckle up and catch the convicts quickly before any new mishap takes place.
