The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office has disclosed the cause of death of Lisa Marie Presley. According to the autopsy report, she passed away due to a small bowel obstruction. The report listed “Cause A” as a “sequale of small bowel obstruction,” and her manner of death was determined to be “natural.” Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died at the age of 54 on January 12.

Earlier on the day of her passing, Presley had complained of stomach pain, which was later identified as a complication from a bariatric surgery procedure she had undergone in the past. In January, emergency responders were called to her home in Calabasas after a report of her not breathing. She was then transported to a local hospital for treatment. Lisa Marie Presley, known as a singer-songwriter, was survived by her mother Priscilla, her daughter Riley Keough, and her half-brother Navarone Garibaldi.
Following her passing, Priscilla and Riley reached a settlement regarding Lisa Marie’s estate, with Riley being named as the beneficiary. Priscilla emphasized the importance of privacy for the family to properly grieve and spend personal time together. Lisa Marie’s son, Benjamin Keough, tragically died by suicide in 2020.

Additionally, her twins Harper and Finley continue to be cared for by their father, Michael Lockwood, who was named their official guardian after Lisa Marie’s divorce from him was finalized in 2021.
