Reliance Retail Launches Beauty E-commerce Platform Tira

Reliance Retail has entered the beauty industry with the launch of its new beauty platform, Tira, on Tuesday. This move puts Reliance in direct competition with established players in the space such as Nykaa and Tata Cliq.

Tira’s offerings include makeup, skin and haircare, fragrances, bathing, men’s beauty products, and luxury items. The platform aims to provide customers with a vast collection of premium and luxury labels in addition to its own private label.

Currently, the platform is accessible to Reliance employees only, but it is expected to be available to the public in a few weeks. According to sources, Tira may go live for the general public in March.

Reports suggest that Reliance is pursuing an omnichannel retail strategy for Tira, focusing on both online and offline platforms. This strategy aligns with the company’s past investments in the fashion industry, having previously invested in fashion giants like Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar.

With the launch of Tira, Reliance aims to compete in the beauty category and expand its presence in the retail industry.
