Paris Saint-Germain finished Group H as the second-best team behind Benfica, while Juventus and Maccabi Haifa were below them. However, PSG won all its games outside of their two head-to-head tilts with Benfica.
Chelsea FC vs. Dortmund
Chelsea’s matchup with Borussia Dortmund is one of the marquee matchups in the Round of 16, with the two European powerhouses set to square off on February 15. Dortmund finished nine points behind Manchester City in the Group G standings, winning two matches, losing one, and managing a draw in three.
Meanwhile, Chelsea finished atop the Group E table. They won four of the six matches while earning a draw and taking a loss in the other two. This gave the Blues 13 out of a possible 18 points, squeaking out the edge over AC Milan by one point. Chelsea will host Dortmund at Stamford Bridge.
Inter Millan vs. Porto
Inter Millan and FC Porto are one of the games we want to watch in the round of 16, and they will face each other on the 22nd of February, 2023. FC Porto finished with 12 points in the Group stage rounds, and they are the best team in the Group B standings.
On the other hand, Inter Milan finished ten points behind Bayern Munich in Group C Standings, winning three matches, losing two, and drawing one.
Liverpool vs. Madrid
Liverpool and Real Madrid are one of the games we want to watch in the round of 16, and both teams will face each other on the 21st of February, 2023. Liverpool was the second-best team in their Group A standings with 15 points behind Napoli, who finished as the best team in their Group.
On the other hand, Real Madrid finished with thirteen points in their Group F standings, winning four out of their six matches, losing one, and drawing one. Both teams have met several times, and the last time they played was at the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League final. Real Madrid won the game over Liverpool by one goal to one to lift the cup for their fourteenth time.
Club Brugge vs. Benfica
Club Brugge and Benfica are one of the games we want to watch in the round of 16, and both teams will face each other on the 15th of February, 2023. Benfica was in Group H alongside Paris Saint-Germain, finishing above them in their standings, but they shared the same point.
Benfica won all their group-stage games except the two rounds against PSG, where they both played a draw. On the other hand, Club Brugge finished eleven points behind Porto in their Group B standings. They won three out of the six, lost one, and drew two. We expect an exciting game from Club Brugge and Benfica because they both perform well during the group stage.
