President Donald Trump attempted to end the rumors that his golf resort at Doral, Florida is infected with bed bugs. The rumors started floating after Trump announced it as the venue as the host for next year’s G-7 summit.
Trump tweeted on Tuesday, “No bedbugs at Doral. The Radical Left Democrats, upon hearing that the perfectly located (for the next G-7) Doral National MIAMI was under consideration for the next G-7, spread that false and nasty rumor. Not nice!”
At a press conference in France on Monday, Donald Trump talked up about the possibility of his golf resort hosting the next G-7 summit, mentioning its close proximity to airport and facilities available there. A senior official confirmed that the summit is set to be held here.

However, just after the announcement, social media saw hashtag “TrumpBedBugs” trending on various platforms. The rumors started after the disclosure of Miami Herald report claimed that a Doral guest woke up with dozens of bedbugs bite in 2016. The guest sued the resort.
Trump has tried hard to have his resort host the official G-7 summit, despite his advisers cautioning him to not benefit financially off an official government event.
