Amarnath Yatra 2025 Registration: Start Date, Cost, Online Process & Step-by-Step Guide

From July 3 to August 9, 2025, the Amarnath Yatra—a significant Hindu pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave—will take place.

An important Hindu pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave in the South Kashmir Himalayas is the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year. Thousands of devotees travel this holy route each year to worship a naturally occurring ice Lingam, which is thought to be a manifestation of Lord Shiva. Completing the registration process in advance is required for the 2025 Yatra.

Amarnath Yatra 2025 Start Date

The website of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) states that the Yatra will start on July 3rd and end on August 9th, 2025. Here is all the information you want, as registration is currently open.

Step-by-step registration procedure

  • Click the link for Advance Registration on the official Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) website.
  • Read all of the instructions carefully, paying particular attention to the Dos and Don’ts. Click “I Agree” when finished, and then click “Register.”
  • Enter your personal information, upload a scanned copy of your Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC), and attach a passport-sized photo.
  • Your registered cellphone number will receive an OTP for validation.
  • Within two hours, a payment link for the registration cost will be given. A moneycontrol article states that each person’s yatra registration might cost ₹220.
  • Your Yatra Registration Permit is available for download from the portal following a successful payment.
  • An official permission will be created after all procedures are finished.

Important Dos and Don’ts to Follow During the Yatra

Dos

  • Before the Yatra begins, each registered Yatri must pick up their RFID card from the appropriate sites.
  • When picking up the RFID card, keep your Aadhaar card with you for identification.
  • For your own protection and security, wear your RFID tag at all times while on the Yatra.
  • Be ready for unexpected decreases in temperature by packing a raincoat, windcheater, umbrella, and enough woolen clothes.
  • Keep a note with your name, address, and cell phone number on hand in case of an emergency.

Don’ts

  • Without an RFID card, no registered Yatri would be permitted to begin the Yatra.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeinated drinks, and smoking during the Yatra.
  • High altitude sickness symptoms should not be disregarded.
  • Don’t stop where warning signs are posted.
  • Avoid doing anything in the Yatra area that can pollute the environment or generate pollution.

Note – Pilgrims traveling in groups of five or more are also eligible to register for the Amarnath Yatra 2025. First-come, first-served registrations will be accepted.
