Assam: 39 arrested for ‘‘defending Pakistan’‘ after J&K terror attack

According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, 39 people have been arrested since the Pahalgam terror assault last month, including two more who were detained in Assam for “defending Pakistan on Indian soil.”

Additionally, according to Mr. Sarma, the two were taken into custody from the districts of Hojai and South Salmara-Mankachar.

The Chief Minister posted on X on Saturday night, “#Update on Crackdown against traitors for defending Pakistan on Indian soil… A total of 39 Anti Nationals put behind bars till now.”
