Nagina: After a quarrel with his parents, the only son in Nai Nangla village ended his life by hanging himself on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Arif, son of Deena.
After the body was found hanging, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. The matter was reported to the police, who arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to the District Civil Hospital, Mandikheda, for post-mortem.
Arif, being the only son, often argued at home over various issues, causing distress to his parents. On Monday, he argued with his father, and when his mother tried to intervene, he pushed her as well. Following the quarrel, in a fit of anger, he took a rope and went into the forest. A short while later, it was learned that Arif had hanged himself, ending his life.
A year ago, Arif got married.
His father, Deena, had married off his only son, Arif, just a year ago. Arif would often quarrel over trivial matters at home and, in anger, would run away from the house. According to villagers, the deceased Arif had assaulted his father about an hour before his death. Following this, the father called 112 and informed the police about the incident. However, before the police could arrive, Arif fled from the house.
After news of Arif’s death broke, his in-laws arrived at the district civil hospital. There, they spoke with his family to learn the reasons behind his death. When the in-laws expressed that their daughter’s life had been ruined, an argument broke out between both families.
