The first and possibly last release candidate for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.9 has been made available by Mojang. In order to guarantee a seamless release of the complete version, the development team is working to finalize the next patch.
Minecraft 1.21.9 Release Candidate 1 Now Available
This release candidate will be the final step before the official 1.21.9 update is made available to users globally, according to Mojang, assuming no new problems are found. In the message that accompanied the release, the team wished everyone a happy mining experience.
This release includes bug fixes.
This release candidate fixes a number of flaws found in earlier iterations, such as a visual bug where the texture in the middle of conduits seemed upside down (MC-302278) and a problem that creakings might occur even when the “spawnMonsters” game rule was set to false (MC-302243).
By turning on snapshots in the “Installations” tab of the Minecraft Launcher, players can test the release candidate. Players are encouraged to backup their data or run the update in a different folder from their primary game worlds because Mojang advises that testing versions have the potential to corrupt worlds.
Players can test the update in multiplayer settings by using the cross-platform server jar, which is also available for those who are hosting servers.
Mojang urges users to share their thoughts on the Feedback website or in the official Minecraft Discord group, as well as to report any issues they find using the official Minecraft Issue Tracker.
Players’ Last Chance
This release candidate provides a last chance for players to help improve the game and guarantee a more seamless experience for everyone as 1.21.9 gets closer to its official release.
Separately, during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show livestream, Microsoft and Playground Games formally revealed Forza Horizon 6, the newest installment in the highly regarded open-world racing series. The news reaffirms that the game will take players to Japan, which has traditionally been one of the most popular destinations among franchise fans.
