At a large BJP-NDA rally in Pathanamthitta, Narendra Modi said that Kerala is backing his alliance, dismissing the promises made by both the LDF and UDF. He also claimed that central government funding has driven development at a much faster pace compared to the years under Congress rule.
Modi expressed confidence that the current LDF government will be voted out and predicted the formation of Kerala’s first BJP-led government after the April 9 elections for all 140 assembly seats.
However, opinion polls currently suggest an edge for the UDF with an estimated 69–81 seats, while the LDF is projected to secure around 58–62 seats. The NDA is expected to win only 1–2 seats. Despite this, the rally reflected rising enthusiasm for the BJP-NDA, especially in closely contested constituencies.
