‘Sakamoto Days’ Season 1 Part 2 to Stream from This Date – Premiere Announced!

July 11, Washington, DC [US] (ANI): Anime fans are in for a treat as the second installment of the well-liked anime “Sakamoto Days” is coming back with more action, battles, and a mission to stop a terrifying serial murderer named “Slur.” 

On July 14, Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2 will debut on Netflix, which will release new episodes every week. 

The series’ trailer has also been made public by the producers. In the 2:22 teaser, Sakamoto’s team—which includes sniper expert Heisuke Mashimo, mafia leader daughter Lu Xiatong, and Clairvoyant Shin—fights against elite assassins in order to keep Sakamoto safe.

They also follow a quest to apprehend Slur, a serial killer who was also featured in Sakamoto Days’ first season. “Get ready for more battles, more danger, and more pork buns when the hit anime, Sakamoto Days, returns,” Netflix wrote alongside the video.

‘Sakamoto Days’ tells the tale of the famed hitman Taro Sakamoto, who retired for love but has to defend his family when his past comes to light, according to Variety. 

According to the publication, the series, which aired in 54 countries, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, France, and Argentina, ruled the Global Top 10 for ten weeks. It has a Netflix-only premiere.

At Anime Expo over the weekend, Netflix, the over-the-top (OTT) giant, made a big statement by revealing their anime lineup, which includes “Sakamoto Days,” “My Melody & Kuromi,” and “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2.” 

With more than 50% of Netflix viewers—representing more than 150 million households or more than 300 million people—now watching anime content, the streaming behemoth’s push for the genre coincides with the genre’s historic rise on the site. 

According to the organization, it is committed to providing a wide range of storylines and genres to cater to all audiences, “from a curious newcomer to a lifelong anime superfan.”

Regarding upcoming anime releases, “My Melody & Kuromi,” which stars the well-known Sanrio characters, is an original stop-motion story in which the famous pair encounters a significant incident that threatens their homeland of Mariland. Variety reports that the series will debut on July 24. (ANI)
