President Biden, Former First Lady Michelle Obama Warn Men Against Voting For Trump: ‘If We Don’t Get This Election Right…’

Michelle Obama Echoes Sentiment: On Saturday, former First Lady Michelle Obama also made a pitch to Michigan’s male electorate, cautioning that supporting Donald Trump may endanger the lives of women.

“If we don’t get this election right, your wife, your daughter, your mother, we as women will become collateral damage to your rage,” she said, as reported by The Hill. “Are you, as men, prepared to look into the eyes of the women and children you love and tell them that you supported this assault on our safety?”

Why It Matters: Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential contender, was chosen as the country’s first female vice president in 2020 and would become the country’s first female president if she wins the next elections. Harris leads by 30 points among young women, and women of color in particular, according to the Harvard Youth Poll.
