Two more accused have been arrested by the Gurugram Police in the case of assaulting a bouncer and an employee at the DonJone Byab Club located in Sector-60. With these arrests, the total number of people held in this case has reached seven.
The Crime Branch, Sector-43, Gurgaon identified the arrested individuals as Anubhav, a resident of Mirhachi village in Etawah (Uttar Pradesh), and Sahil, a resident of Sector-9. During interrogation, the accused told police that an argument broke out with the club’s bouncer and staff over entry, which later escalated into a physical fight. Sector-65 Police Station had registered the case on September 1 in connection with the incident.
One person had sustained serious injuries in the clash and was admitted to a private hospital. In the complaint, the club’s cashier told the police that around 1 a.m. on August 31, a few boys entered the club. They were informed that only couples were allowed entry, after which they claimed that they were residents of Khedar-pur village and should be permitted inside. When they were denied entry, they threatened to shut down the club.
After their phone call, around 1:30 a.m., seven to eight more boys arrived armed with sticks. They began beating the bouncer, and when others intervened, they too were attacked. One of them was hit with a brick. Before leaving, the group allegedly issued death threats.
Police began a manhunt in the case, and so far seven accused have been arrested. Apart from the two recently detained suspects, the earlier arrested individuals have been identified as Rokendra alias Rocky, Radhe Mohan, Raman, Satbir, and Nitesh.
