PM Modi’s Big Decision after Ram Mandir event; 1 cr Homes to be equipped with solar panels

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon his return from the historic Ayodhya event where he presided over the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, announced a landmark initiative named ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.’ This initiative aims to harness the potential of solar energy for electricity generation in India.

In a statement shared on the social platform X, the Prime Minister expressed the inspiration drawn from the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, stating, “All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses.”

Modi outlined the core objective of the initiative, asserting, “The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’ with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses. This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.”

The Prime Minister shared images of discussions with officials regarding the scheme, underscoring the government’s commitment to sustainable energy practices.

Earlier in the day, Modi presided over the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, attended by dignitaries such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, among others. The event witnessed over 7,000 invitees, including prominent figures from various fields.

Expressing optimism for India’s future, Modi declared, “This is India’s time, and India is going to move forward. After waiting for centuries, we have reached here. We all have waited for this era, this period. Now we will not stop. We will continue to reach the heights of development.”

Modi extended gratitude to the Indian Judiciary for ensuring a just resolution to the long-standing dispute, emphasizing, “The Supreme Court in 2019 had settled the decades-old dispute, keeping the dignity of justice intact. The embodiment of justice, Shri Ram’s temple was constructed through just means.”

The Prime Minister highlighted the nationwide celebrations, with processions and cleanliness campaigns taking place in temples, reflecting the collective spirit of the nation. The ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’ stands as a significant step towards a sustainable and self-reliant energy future for India.
