Israel-Iran Conflict Live Updates: Today, the leaders of G7 nations unequivocally denounced Iran’s “unprecedented” assault on Israel and urged all parties to exercise “restraint” in their actions.
“We unanimously condemned Iran’s unprecedented attack against Israel”, European Council President Charles Michel said following their video talks.
“We will continue all our efforts to work towards de-escalation. Ending the crisis in Gaza as soon as possible, notably through an immediate ceasefire, will make a difference,” he added.
Iran’s brazen attack on Israel late Saturday, which involved the launch of over 300 drones and missiles, represents a significant escalation in the ongoing clandestine conflict between the two neighboring nations.
The Israeli military reported a remarkable interception rate, with 99 percent of the projectiles successfully neutralized. While the defense systems managed to down 170 drones and 30 cruise missiles before they could breach Israeli airspace, a handful of the 110 ballistic missiles did penetrate defenses, resulting in injuries to 12 individuals.
