More Than 300 Beggars participated in Fund Campaign.
Ayodhya is gearing up for the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir (Temple), and the funds for its construction have witnessed tremendous support from devotees globally. Surprisingly, even beggars from Kashi and Prayagraj have contributed to the cause, donating a noteworthy sum of Rs 4 lakh. A generous family of beggars reportedly contributed Rs 4.5 lakh to this noble initiative.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organized a fund campaign for the Shri Ram Mandir Tirth Trust, drawing participation from over 300 beggars in Prayagraj and Kashi. In recognition of their support, these individuals will be invited to attend the upcoming consecration ceremony of Ramlala.
The Trust has been successful in receiving substantial monthly donations, estimated to be over Rs 1 crore. Additionally, it has garnered contributions from Non-resident Indians (NRIs), with a devotee from the UAE donating Rs 11,000 and another from Australia contributing Rs 21,000.
Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Trust, has confirmed holdings of Rs 3,500 crore across its three bank accounts in Ayodhya. This significant sum has been amassed through donations from across the country until February of the current year.
The budget allocated for the Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya for the year 2024 stands at Rs 18,000 crore, and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has undertaken the construction project at no cost. The timeline indicates that the Ram Mandir is slated to be completed by January 24, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to lead the inauguration.
Residents of Kashi and Prayagraj actively participated in the dedication fund campaign. In a recent development, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, visited the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra office in Ramkot, Ayodhya.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on December 30, where he will inaugurate the renovated Ayodhya railway station and a new airport. He is also expected to address a rally, as confirmed by officials. PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the temple on August 5, 2020, and the installation of the idol of Lord Ram is planned for January 22, 2024.
